Resumen Descriptivo: 

This manual for the Scalabrinian missionary trainers was prepared by the Coordination Office for the Mediterranean of IOM at the request of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of St Charles Borromeo, Scalabrinians.

The manual has two main objectives. Firstly, it aims to foster comprehensive understanding of international migration – of the different definitions or conceptualizations of the phenomenon, of the relevant legislative framework and the role of the different actors concerned, with a focus on the role of humanitarian workers in the protection of migrants in vulnerable situations. Secondly, it seeks to convey suggestions for trainers regarding the methodology and the skills necessary to successfully train other trainers.
