IOM Timor-Leste Strategic Plan: 2011-2013
IOM Timor-Leste's Strategic Plan 2011-2013, is the first of its kind since IOM started its operations in Timor-Leste in August 1999. It is intended to chart the future course and direction of IOM-Timor- Leste’s work over the next three years, and to re-align the Mission's priorities so that they reinforce and support the migration-related strategies developed by the Government of Timor-Leste (GoTL).By ensuring effective use of its resources and setting clear priorities, IOM-TL intends to increase its overall impact.
The Plan is based on the input of IOM Timor-Leste's national and international partners. More than 21 consultation meetings were held with 27 different stakeholders including government officials, UN senior officials, the donor community, implementing partners, and civil society representatives. These ideas, feedback and recommendations helped to shape the Plan and to ensure that it reflects the overarching needs and national priorities of the Government and people of Timor-Leste.
