This report provides a comprehensive assessment of the Libya’s migration data capacity and statistical systems while documenting available data on migration to and from the country. The assessment is intended to support the Government in improving collection and management of migration-related data, and complements processes to develop a migration policy in Libya. Apart from presenting a brief overview of migration trends in the country and existing frameworks for measuring migration, the study examines the national administrative and statistical systems. The study also assesses data available from international sources. The report identifies gaps and needs, and recommends steps for improving data management, statistics and analysis on migration in Libya.
