This report illustrates IOM’s health activities in 2016 and presents key achievements in the three main migration health programme areas: (a) migration health assessments and travel health assistance; (b) health promotion and assistance for migrants; and (c) migration health assistance for crisis-affected populations. The report also highlights emerging themes in migration and health, namely, work on advancing the health of migrants in the era of the Sustainable Development Goals and the global compacts for migration and refugees. The report illustrates IOM’s growing multidimensional migration health activities and partnerships in 2016, and demonstrates IOM’s commitment to advancing the health of migrants and their families worldwide, as well as to supporting IOM Member States in addressing migration health challenges.
