La fábula del león y el coyote

The “Tale of the Lion and the Coyote” is a short book focused on the risks of irregular migration that targets children and adolescents. The story narrates real-life events, as it is based on the vicissitudes of the reggae band “Talawa” from Costa Rica.

This book represents a great collaboration developed between IOM and the music group Talawa, as well as with the General Directory of Migration and Alienage, to inform young people about the risks of irregular migration. The story allows to demystify the crime of smuggling of migrants, and proves that every migrant, no matter the country of origin, economic status, sex, or age, exposes him/herself to exploitation and danger when crossing borders irregularly.
