Este informe presenta y discute los resultados de una investigación llevada a cabo durante 2014 con el propósito de contribuir a una mejor comprensión de los motivos y las modalidades por las cuales los niños, niñas y adolescentes cruzan las fronteras internacionales.
La presente investigación analiza el proceso de implementación del Acuerdo sobre Residencia en los Estados firmantes, así como los cambios que dicho acuerdo ha generado en las condiciones de acceso a derechos de la población migrante residente en los países de la región.
Las investigaciones llevadas a cabo entre las fronteras estudiadas arrojan luz sobre los movimientos de personas y los intercambios sociales y económicos entre ciudades vecinas pero separadas por un límite internacional.
