This is the second issue of the IOM Italy Briefing series, which focuses on the many impacts of the migrant population on the Italian welfare. It presents the most up-to-date evidence on migrants’ presence in terms of demographic evolution and looks at migrants’ participation in different sectors of the labour market. Finally, the Briefing addresses migrants’ use of social services and their contribution to social schemes and pensions as compared to that of Italian nationals.
