Health of Migrants: Resetting the Agenda

This report illustrates the migration health activities of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in 2016 and highlights key achievements in three main  programme areas: (a) migration health assessments and travel health assistance; (b) health promotion and assistance for migrants; and (c) migration health assistance for crisis-affected populations. The report zeroes in on emerging themes in migration and health, namely, work on advancing the health of migrants in the era of the Sustainable Development Goals and the global compacts for migration and refugees. The report also features IOM’s growing multidimensional migration health activities and partnerships in 2016, and demonstrates IOM’s commitment to advancing the health of migrants and their families worldwide, as well as supporting IOM Member States in addressing migration health challenges.
