Migration in Zimbabwe: A Country Profile 2010 - 2016

This Migration Profile is a repository of migration information and covers, among other areas, the institutional, policy and legal framework of migration in Zimbabwe; immigration and emigration trends in the country; irregular migration and circular migration; remittances and their development impact; and the Zimbabwean diaspora. The Migration Profile is updated annually by the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT), with an aim to support evidence-based policy development to maximize the development potential of migration for Zimbabwe. In addition to establishing migration policy, the Government of Zimbabwe, with assistance from IOM and other stakeholders, developed this Migration Profile to support and strengthen the regulatory and institutional framework for better migration management.
