This report is an annual overview of activities led and implemented by the Migration Health Division of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in 2019, in partnership with Member States, United Nations agencies and other partners in the international community, to meet the operational challenges of migration, advance understanding of migration health issues, encourage socioeconomic development through migration, and work towards ensuring respect of the human dignity and well-being of migrants. The document showcases key achievements and programmes under three broad themes: (a) building the health resilience of communities; (b) new ways of working in health and mobility; and (c) contributing to stronger migration health governance. The report illustrates the growing multidimensional migration health activities and partnerships of IOM in 2019, and demonstrates the Organization’s commitment to advancing the health of migrants and their families worldwide, as well as supporting Member States in addressing migration health challenges.
