A.MI.CO. Programme Implementation Toolkit

This toolkit stems from the desire to systematize IOM Italy ’s ten-year experience in building capacity and providing technical assistance to migrants’ associations as transnational actors in the field of international cooperation. The aim of this Toolkit is to provide useful guidelines to other IOM’s Missions, UN Agencies, associations (CSOs, NGOs) or institutions that wish to replicate and implement the A.MI.CO. programme (Migrants’ Associations for Co-Development). The guide is divided into three parts, the first two are a theoretical and practical guide for facilitators for the implementation of the A.MI.CO. Training supplemented by a set of tools and practical instructions that can be consulted in the list of Annexes. The third part is an implementation guide of the A.MI.CO. Award initiative, a monetary award for the realization of projects submitted by associations that have taken part in the A.MI.CO. Training. The Toolkit and the Annexes, therefore, reflect the programme’s structure which consists of a training component combined with funding and technical support for the implementation of project initiatives.
