Description : IOM and the African Capacity - building Foundation (ACBF) organized a workshop in Dakar on Migration, Development and Poverty Reduction, attended by representatives of over 20 countries. The discussions centred on the potential contribution of migrants to development and various ways to strengthen their impact. The discussions resulted in a series of proposals for the High-level Dialogue, held at UN Headquarters in New York, in September 2006.
