Migration in Sudan: A Country Profile 2011 shows that Sudan is a country with strong migration dynamics, both in terms of international and internal migration, including forced displacement and nomadic movements. International migration was and still is largely facilitated by Sudan’s geographical location, instability, conflict, lack of food security both domestically and in the region. As a result, Sudan is an emigration, transit and immigration country, both for economic and forced migrants, in addition to stocks of IDPs.
